Sarah McBride (D) is a trailblazer—the highest-ranking trans elected official in the nation’s history, the lead sponsor for Delaware’s now-passed paid family leave bill, and a fighter for equity and equality. She certainly has accomplished so much since her days as a research assistant on CAP’s LGBTQI+ Rights policy team.
